About our company
We are a restoration building company with emphasis on Traditional carpentry methods. Working primarily in the private sector, we specialize in timber – framing, and 18th century log home reconstruction. We do on site restorations, in house Barn – Home design, and some reproductions. Vintage materials and Traditional methods are used wherever possible. Care is taken to provide the owners with an authentic restoration project. Detail drawings and shop drawings are usually provided. We emphasize the use of salvaged and native materials throughout each project. On site stone and clay for masonry work, trees for split shingles and riven boards, etc. In the past we have have, among other things, disassembled and reconstructed an 1820’s stone building/canal hotel; a 110 foot tall timber-framed Church Steeple, and joinery on two Covered Bridges.
Our company personnel are disciplined in Historic Restoration/Preservation techniques, having an across the board, diverse repertoire of accomplished capabilities and include:
Cabinetmaker, master, and principal.
A first year apprentice
A second or third year apprentice
Journeyman
During the last several years we have been involved in working for various local museums including:
The Mifflinburg Buggy Museum and The Gutelius Log House. We have also conducted Forensic investigations on the Elias Church, and Pemberton Hall in Salisbury, Maryland; as well as performing work for a couple of Pennsylvanian Museum sites.

Log repair and / or replacement Rafter systems and shakes
Stone and brick work Timber-frame joinery and design
Window sash, made or repaired Interior/exterior trim, moldings
Exterior and interior daubing Lime and clay base mortars and plasters

Supply of vintage building materials Beams, flooring, doors, etc.
Resawn antique lumber House moving, rigging and jacking
Raised panel room ends Restoration of colonial stairways
Forensic investigations and dating of historic structures
